About
Dr. Ghimire is an expert in both the Operations and Technology sides of the AEC industry. He specializes in leveraging advanced, cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, specifically Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG Systems, Multimodal AI, Machine Learning, and BIM/VDC, to transform built environment practices. With over six years of research experience, more than seven years of industry experience across the U.S. and overseas, and seven semesters of teaching experience, he brings a unique blend of academic rigor, industry expertise, and scientific insight to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction domain.
His doctoral research focused on the application of Generative LLMs in construction cost estimation- a rigorous mixed-methods study that developed and validated AI Assistant prototypes integrating LLMs with domain-specific industry knowledge to automate preconstruction decision-making processes.
He is passionate about interdisciplinary research, leveraging integrated data intelligence for next-generation built environments. Specifically, he operate at the intersections of Artificial Intelligence; Business Intelligence; VDC, Mixed Methods; Advanced Statistical Modeling with
Construction- Engineering, Management, & Business ; Human-AI Collaboration ; Industralized Construction ; Resiliency ; Disasters.
